I’ve always wanted to try my hand at macro photography. But:

  1. I don’t like flowers or bugs;
  2. My gear prevented anything other than a mediocre image (yes, I know many of my photos fall into the mediocre category, I didn’t ask your opinion.)

After seeing the amazing work or Pogo and Bernie Kasper I thought I would have a go, and try out my new, kick-ass, image stabilized lens.

Thus, the above. This was shot in RAW format at 1/30. I will proclaim from the mountain tops that Canon image stabilizations is bomb diggity, to use Wanda’s term. There is no way you can capture something at such a slow speed, sans tripod, without it.
